1. Do I need to enroll in PayPal to checkout?
"No" Just push the continue button on the bottom left side of the screen that says "continue" (see example) next to the credit card symbols. No signing up is necessary, although on the same page you have the options to sign up if you wish. However, you still have the same protection as a PayPal member, with no fees, and we do not receive your sensitive payment information, like credit card or bank numbers. When shopping on the web you do not know who you are dealing with, PayPal keeps a buffer between the merchant and your sensitive information. It is just plain safer. As a person who has been in the situation of having a credit card misused, I am more confident that I can shop and my information is secure with PayPal.
2. Is PayPal the most secure?
We strive to find a payment system that would be the most secure for your checkout experience. When you checkout with PayPal, your sensitive payment information never enters our system. We have no interest in maintaining your payment information as it is only needed to process your individual sale. PayPal is a major corporation in the payment processing field. They have a large staff dedicated to protect your information from being stolen and reduce your chances of identity theft. It is protection for you the customer.
3. Do you have other payment options?
PayPal is the only online payment option that we offer. At trade shows that we attend we accept payment through an additional merchant account through another bank. We could have used this option on the website, but we believe that PayPal is the most safe way for our customers and also ourselves.
4. Does using PayPal have any other benefits?
PayPal provides more customer protection for both the buyer and seller. You will have another avenue besides your bank to protest payments made to us online. PayPal will be on your side to make sure that your transaction is being treated fairly. PayPal ensures with verification that each vendor can be responsible with your money to provide a safe transaction. PayPal also ensures that the seller also has adequate means to refund money in the event of a return.
5. Do you use PayPal in your business?
We certainly do! I was skeptical about enrolling in PayPal with my banking information. However, I use PayPal now not only for my personal transactions but also for business transactions. I feel secure knowing that each vendor is not individually keeping my banking information and making me exposed at numerous locations with merchants with which I have no idea how they maintain their information security.. Rather, my banking information is kept securely in one location with a professional corporation.
6. What is the bottom line?
You can shop a hundred online businesses a year and have your banking information at a hundred locations with each one at risk for misuse or hacking. Or, you can keep your information at one place with a company that is in the profession to keep your information safe and secure.
